Iceland Clip
A fantasy music clip about an ice princess and a fire princess, who slowly discover each other
Can two characters from opposite worlds tell a whole story with no dialogue, only ice, fire and music?
Opposites make a story easy to read. White against black and ice against fire told the viewer who is who in every shot, and then all the film had to do was bring them closer.
A music clip with two characters from different worlds. The Ice Princess, dressed in white, lives among frozen plains and snowy forests. The Fire Princess, dressed in black, lives among volcanoes, flames and a dark cave. Each of them discovers during the clip that there is a whole world she never knew.
Slowly they come closer to one another, with games of ice and fire between them, until the inevitable meeting. The music was also created with AI, and carries a fantasy atmosphere with Icelandic musical elements.
No client and no brief. Every shot began as a designed still image and was then brought to life, and the cut follows the music from start to end.
Why it lives in the lab
Fantasy characters are the hardest test for AI video. There is no real person to compare against, so the only judge is the viewer’s eye. If a face drifts, the spell breaks, and here there are two faces to hold, in two different worlds. This clip is where I check how far the tools can keep a character, a fabric and a mood from shot to shot, and how far AI music can carry a story.
